Description
Built for the Working Day
Most clergy aprons in this market are styled for one moment of liturgy. The Actorum Classic is built for the unglamorous hours that make a parish run: lighting candles before Mass, bottling vestry oil, weeding the columbarium garden, refinishing pews, or restocking the sacristy after a wedding. The cut sits below the knee in front for full coverage and is squared at the hem so it doesn’t catch on a kneeler.
Fabric & Care
12 oz pre-washed 100% cotton canvas in deep liturgical red. Pre-shrunk so the fit holds after laundering. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, warm iron if pressed. Wax and oil spots respond well to spot-treatment with mild dish soap before a normal wash.
Who It’s For
Parish priests, sacristans, deacons, seminarians, and lay volunteers responsible for sacristy upkeep, altar guild work, columbarium gardening, or church maintenance. One generously cut size fits chests roughly 36–52 in; a tall length is offered for clergy 6’2” and above.
FAQs
Is this apron heavy enough for outdoor church gardening?
Yes. The 12 oz cotton canvas is the same weight class used in professional gardening and shop aprons, and the squared hem keeps soil and trimmings off the cassock or street clothes underneath.
How does this differ from your liturgical service apron?
The Actorum is a heavyweight everyday work apron with reinforced hardware, intended for sacristy and grounds work. The Facio Liturgical Service Apron is a lighter, dressier piece designed for hospitality, table service, and parish dinners where appearance matters more than abrasion resistance.
Can the apron be ordered without front pockets?
Yes. The made-to-measure option lets you specify pocket count and placement, including a fully clean front for clergy who prefer a minimal silhouette during baptism preparations or pastoral visits.
