Sacerdos is a short-sleeve black clergy shirt designed for the hours when a full cassock or robe is not required but clerical identity still is. Collar and Closure

The front closure is a concealed button placket. The buttons are hidden behind a fabric overlap so the center front reads as a clean, unbroken line from collar to hem. Sacerdos is made from a poly cotton blend, which gives it two practical qualities that matter for a garment worn multiple days a week: breathability from the cotton content and wrinkle resistance from the polyester. A clergy shirt that creases badly by midday stops looking professional, and an all-cotton shirt in a warm building or a summer climate will do exactly that. The blend holds its press through a full working day.
The fabric has a matte finish with no sheen, which keeps the black reading as a deep, flat black rather than picking up shine under fluorescent office lighting or outdoor sun.
Care: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. The poly cotton blend is designed for regular home laundering. Remove promptly from the dryer and hang or fold to avoid setting creases. Light steaming smooths any remaining wrinkles. No dry cleaning required.

Sacerdos is available in numeric sizes 8 through 30. Sizes 8 to 20 are the standard range; sizes 22 to 26 carry a small plus-size supplement, and sizes 28 to 30 carry a slightly higher one. Choose your usual dress or blouse size. The tailored body has enough ease for comfortable seated and active wear without excess fabric pooling at the sides.
Made to measure is available with a 3 to 4 week lead time for wearers outside the standard size range or those who need a precise fit through the collar and shoulder. Does Sacerdos come with a clerical tab included?
No. The shirt is sold without a tab. It is cut to fit a standard removable white clerical tab, which is purchased separately. Most clergy already own tabs and rotate them between shirts.
Can Sacerdos be worn under an alb or cassock?
Yes. The short sleeve and hip-length cut sit cleanly under an alb, cassock, or cassock-alb without bunching. The tab collar also works with albs that have a tab-opening collar, like Serapha.
Is the black colour consistent across multiple orders?
We use the same dye lot within each production run. For teams or groups ordering several shirts at once, we can cut from the same fabric lot to guarantee shade consistency. Separate orders placed months apart may have slight dye-lot variation, which is normal for black fabric.
What if my size falls between two numbers?
Order the next size up for comfortable movement, especially if you spend long hours seated. Made to measure is available with a 3 to 4 week lead time for an exact fit through the collar, shoulder, and body.
