Description
A Modern Liturgical Vestment
The Sanctorum is built around a clean modern silhouette: stand collar, slim chest, side-running placket, and full-length hem. Gold satin cuffs run roughly six inches up each sleeve, giving the robe a strong horizontal accent at the hands as you bless or read. The side placket carries a row of matching gold buttons that runs from underarm to hem, lending the front a dignified asymmetry.
Gold Satin Cuffs and Side Button Placket
The cuffs are a heavy poly-satin in a soft champagne-gold, interlined and turned so they hold a clean shape rather than collapsing on the wrist. Approximately 24 gold-finish buttons line the side placket on a reinforced facing. A hidden hook-and-eye closes the placket above the buttons so the line stays neat through the day.
Construction and Inner Build
A half-canvas chest, soft shoulder pads, and bias-cut facings give the robe its tailored line. The side placket is fused with a fusible interlining so it hangs straight, and bartacks reinforce the openings at underarm and hem. A discreet inner pocket sits at the chest for sermon notes or a phone.
Fabric, Weight, and Care
The shell is a year-round wool-polyester blend at roughly 250 gsm with a clean matte black finish. Cuffs are a heavy poly-satin in champagne gold; buttons are sealed gold-finish metal. Dry clean recommended; cool steam restores the cuffs without scorching the satin face.
Who This Robe Is For
The Sanctorum is suited to bishops, presiding elders, senior pastors, and clergy who lead televised services and want a robe with strong on-camera presence. The asymmetric side placket photographs as distinctive without being theatrical, making this a strong choice for COGIC, AME, FGBCF, modern Anglican, and independent ministries.

FAQs
Will the gold cuffs flash on camera?
We use a soft champagne-gold poly-satin rather than a high-shine finish. Under standard stage lighting it reads as a warm gold accent at the wrists rather than a hot reflective spot.
Is the side placket functional or decorative?
It is fully functional. The buttons close along the side seam and the robe is put on over the head with the placket fastened. Hook-and-eye closures at the top keep the line clean.
Can I add a chest crest or seal?
Yes. We can satin-stitch a denominational seal, ministry logo, or initials at the left chest on a made-to-measure order. Please email a vector file when placing the order.
How does this differ from the Noir Classic?
The Noir Classic uses a center-front brass-button placket and reads more cassock-like. The Sanctorum uses a side placket with gold cuffs and reads more episcopal—a stronger on-camera silhouette for televised liturgy.
