Full Clerical Collar Band
The signature feature is a full clerical collar band rather than a tab slot — a continuous band of fabric that accepts a traditional white plastic full collar (sold separately) for ministers in Anglican, Catholic, and Lutheran traditions who prefer the historic full-circle look. The band is interlined for shape retention and stitched flat against the neck so it doesn’t bunch under a stole or chasuble.
Construction Details
Single-button barrel cuffs with a placket gauntlet, two-piece sleeve construction for a clean drape, fused interlining at the placket and cuffs, and a split back yoke for shoulder mobility during preaching. Buttons are reinforced with cross-stitching and tone-matched to the black ground so they read as a single visual line.
Fabric & Care
65/35 cotton-poly broadcloth in a sealed deep black, mid-weight enough to drape under vestments without showing through. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, light press on the placket and collar band. The fabric resists pilling at the friction zones (under stole loops, around chest pocket) better than typical clergy-shirt fabric.
