A Blue Clergy Shirt for Daily and Pastoral Wear

The stand collar is the same tab-collar construction used on Sacerdos: a band collar cut to hold a removable white clerical tab at the center front. The collar is stiffened enough to keep its shape through a full working day without wilting, and the tab sits centered in the opening without slipping.
The front closure is a concealed button placket, hidden behind a fabric overlap so no buttons are visible from the front. The placket edge is tone-on-tone with the blue fabric, making the closure line nearly invisible.
Cut and Fit
Ministera is a fitted shirt with bust and waist darts that give the body a tailored shape without being tight. The hem is curved, designed to be worn tucked into trousers or a skirt rather than worn out. The back yoke seam sits across the upper back, keeping the shoulder line clean and preventing the fabric from pulling across the back when seated.
The sleeves are long, ending in a single-button barrel cuff at the wrist. The cuff is narrow enough to sit neatly under a jacket or blazer sleeve and can be adjusted by the button for wrist fit. The sleeve itself is set in at the shoulder with a slight taper from the upper arm to the cuff.
Fabric and Care
Ministera is made from a poly cotton blend, the same construction as Sacerdos. The blend gives the shirt breathability from the cotton and wrinkle resistance from the polyester, which matters for a shirt that will be worn through a full day of meetings, visits, and services.
The royal blue has a matte finish with no sheen, so the color reads as a flat, even blue under fluorescent office lighting, sanctuary lighting, and outdoor sun. The white clerical tab stands out clearly against the blue, which gives Ministera stronger visual contrast at the collar than a black shirt provides.
Care: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Remove promptly from the dryer and hang to avoid setting creases. The poly cotton blend does not require dry cleaning. Wash separately or with like colors for the first few washes to prevent dye transfer.
