Tab Collar and Twin Chest Pockets
Two squared chest pockets give working clergy practical storage for prayer cards, glasses, and a pen, balanced symmetrically on either side of the placket. The reinforced tab collar holds a standard plastic insert with a clean, square opening.
Construction for Daily Wear
Flat-felled side seams, bar tacks at pocket corners, and a split back yoke produce a shirt built for repeated wear and laundering. Cross-stitched buttons stay anchored through years of service.
Fabric and Care
Cotton-rich poplin (approx. 65% cotton / 35% polyester) for breathability and easy laundering. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, and the shirt pulls out of the dryer ready to wear.

Is the cut too boxy for a leaner build?
Marinus is a true classic fit — generous in the body and chest. Leaner builds may prefer Altum (long-sleeve, slim) or specify Made-to-Measure for a closer cut.
Will the pockets sag with weight?
No. Pocket corners are reinforced with bar tacks and the pocket fabric is doubled at the entry edge to support a phone or pocket-sized prayer book without distortion.
Is short-sleeve appropriate for formal services?
Practice varies by tradition. Many denominations accept short-sleeve clergy shirts under a vestment, alb, or robe, particularly in summer. For high-formal services with the shirt visible, a long-sleeve option such as Aethera or Altum is recommended.
