A cream choir habit for solemn liturgy
The Albedo is a choir habit in the natural cream of undyed cloth, the colour long associated with the white monks and with feast days. It is designed to be seen in choir and procession, where its pale colour and full sleeves give a calm, luminous presence.
Signature feature: deep gathered hood and bell sleeves
The hood is gathered at the neckline so it falls in soft folds over the shoulders, and the extra-wide bell sleeves open generously from the elbow. Together they give the habit its graceful, flowing movement.
Construction
The body is a plain A-line that widens gently to the hem. It is designed to be worn without a scapular or cincture, so nothing interrupts the line of the cloth; you can add your own cincture if your custom requires it.
Fabric choice and care
Choose breathable cotton (included) for everyday wear in the cloister, chapel and garden, or lightweight tropical suiting (+$30) for a smoother drape and comfort in hot, humid climates. Cotton: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, hang to dry and press with a warm iron. Tropical: dry clean, or hand wash cold and steam to refresh. Store on a broad hanger so the hood and shoulders keep their shape.
